Praying for Israel/ Mountain of Religion

Isaiah 62 Fast

Global 21 Days of Prayer for Israel

We are joining in today with over 5 million believers who are standing before the Lord for His purposes for Israel. Millions of Christians all over the world began fasting and praying on May 7th and will continue these 21 days of prayer and fasting until May 28th, the Day of Pentecost. This initiative was birthed out of the International House of Prayer and Mike Bickel. The goal is that we commit to praying at least one hour a day for Israel during these 21 days.

According to Mike Bickel, “This will be the first time in history that far more than one million Christians will continue 24 hours a day for 21 days in praying for God’s promises for Israel. The uniqueness of this prayer initiative is itself a sign of the times and an acceleration of God’s “set time for a generation yet to be created” to engage together in His purposes for Israel (Psalm 102:13, 18).”

Psalm 102:13 (HCSB) You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her – the appointed time has come.

Psalm 102:18 (HCSB) This will be written for a later generation, and a newly created people will praise the Lord.

Isaiah 62:6-7 (HCSB) 6 Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. You, who remind the Lord, no rest for you! 7 Do not give Him rest until He establishes and makes her Jerusalem the praise of the earth.

  • Pray that as a church we will commit to fervently pray for Israel.
  • Pray that we will be the watchmen on the walls who refuse to be silent in our prayers for Israel.

Romans 10:1 (Msg) 1 Believe me, friends, all I want for Israel is what’s best for Israel: salvation, nothing less. I want it with all my heart and pray to God for it all the time.

We pray for salvation to come to the people of Israel:

  • For Israel to turn to the Lord so the veil may be taken away (2 Corinthians 3:11-16), and for their spiritual blindness to be removed.
  • Pray based on the Lord’s promise that all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this My covenant with them when I take away their sins” (Romans 11:25-27).
  • Proclaim also God’s promise that “He will cleanse them and give them a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36).

Psalm 121: 4-5 (HCSB) 4 Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. 5 The Lord protects you; the Lord is a shelter right by your side.

Deuteronomy 33:29 (HCSB) How happy you are, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is the shield that protects you, the sword you boast in. Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will tread on their backs.

  • Pray for protection from the ongoing threat of war and terrorism from Her enemies.
  • Pray for God to deal swiftly and justly with those who hate Israel and the Jewish People, and who seek to destroy them.
  • Pray for God’s solutions and provision for border disputes, housing, water shortages, incoming refugees, and other troubling internal issues.
  • Pray for protection over Her resources.

James 1:5 (HCSB) Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.

  • Pray that every person in leadership will seek the Lord for wisdom in leading Israel.
  • Pray for prosperity and protection over her government leaders, spiritual leaders, heads of families, and all who are in authority.
  • Pray for those who protect her and her allies, and may the United States always be one!
