Bay of The Holy Spirit | Week 1 | Holy Ground
“See, I have given Jericho into your hand.” ~Joshua 6:2
- Divine Presence: Holy Ground Before Holy Action:
When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in His hand. Joshua approached Him and asked, “Are You for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” He replied. “I have now come as commander of the Lord’s army.” Then Joshua bowed with his face to the ground in worship and asked Him, “What does my Lord want to say to His servant?” The commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. ~Joshua 5:13-15 (HCSB)
Any place, at once, becomes a Holy Place when the Lord is Present!
Divine Power: Promise > Practice > Power:
- How?
Divine Power: Shut out and Disconnected:
Since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. ~2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (HCSB)
- Self-Reliance — “I’ve got this”
- Hurry — “No time to listen”
- Hidden Compromise — “Just a little won’t hurt”
- Cynicism — “That will never change”
