Core Values

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. – John 14:12-14 NKJV

Assignment of a vision

  1. We are all charged with the great commission
  2. Each body of believers plays a part
  3. Our part is to empower people and churches : do greater things
  4. Our vision fuels our mission : belong, believe, and become
  5. Our vision and mission stands on the foundation of our core values

High value – is the perfection of a value

Core value – is the value that I live out

Ephesians 4:1-16

H– Humility

U– Unity

M– Maturity

A – Authority

N – Nobility

H–Humility : Servant leadership is the model. Jesus said that the greatest among you will be servant to all. We seek the greatness of the  kingdom of God through serving others full heartedly.

with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, – Ephesians 4:2 ESV

Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others. – Philippians 2:3-4 NRSV

U- Unity : Living in unity with the bond of peace, even when we do not understand or agree with each other, allows us to live in Gods commanded blessing.

1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore. – Psalm 133:1,3 NKJV

eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. – Ephesians 4:3 ESV

Principle of unity : we are all part of one body functioning differently and interdependently.

15 “Moreover if your brother sins against you, (step 1) go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, (step 2) take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ 17 And if he refuses to hear them, (step 3) tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, (step 4) let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. – Matthew 18:15-17 NKJV

M – Maturity : We are committed to grow in our relationship with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit and each other until we mature to Adults in the Faith.

13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. – Ephesians 4:13-16 ESV

Principle of maturity : maturity is a life begins to focused on others, proclaiming the Gospel, healing others , setting others free, discipling others and caring for others.

A–Authority : We chose to remain submitted to Gods direct authority and his delegated authority so that we can live a prosperous and peaceful lives. We believe in submitting to Gods direct authority of scripture, the voice of Holy Spirit. We also believe in submitting to his delegated authority in the law of the land and our spiritual leaders.

Principle of authority: you cannot have authority unless you are under authority

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, – Ephesians 4:11-12 ESV

17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. – Hebrews 13:17 ESV

For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith. – Matthew 8:9-10 ESV

N–Nobility : Our lives and ministry are a representation of the Kingdom of God. We should live our lives in a way that represents the kingdom of God well.

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. – Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV

1I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, – Ephesians 4:1 ESV

Principle of nobility: Our life on earth is spent in bringing the Kingdom of God into the lives of others people.

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; – Luke 4:18 NKJV

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. – Romans 8:16-17 NKJV

1I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, – Ephesians 4:1 ESV

  • God called you to this church
  • God has an assignment for you in this body
  • We have allowed things into our lives that keep us form living our these Core Values and you can lay those down today

1Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, – Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. – 2 Corinthians 4:11 NKJV

Words of Knowledge:

We believe the Lord wants to heal a woman with fibroids in or on the outside of your uterus that have been causing severe pain. You have also not been able to get pregnant because of this; we believe the Lord  is going to heal you and you will get pregnant.

We believe the Lord wants to heal someone dealing with overwhelming depression or heaviness. We believe the Lord is giving you a garment of praise this weekend to replace this spirit of heaviness.
