Mountain of Government

This is one of the most influential and important areas of influence in our culture because it establishes laws and decrees that affect and control every other mountain. We are partnering with the Lord, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on the Mountain of Government as it is in heaven.” -Matthew 6:10

As we continue to commit to praying for this mountain of influence, we are imposing heaven’s will. Our prayers are the most powerful ingredient of any possible strategy. We must not grow weary of joining together in prayer. We must continue to take our place in prayer for a great spiritual awakening to continue in America.

Pray for our leaders that hold office at every level:

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (HCSB)

“Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority.”

  • Lord, we are asking that you bless our leaders and that you surround them and their families with your protection.
  • Bind their families together with love and surround them with men and women that love you Lord, and that will share your love with them.
  • We ask that they have times of refreshing as they work to serve our city, state, and nation.
  • Let there be men and women surrounding them who will offer Godly counsel and direction as they face difficult decisions.

Pray against all corruption in the Mountain of Government.

Father God, only You know all things. So, we call upon You and we ask that You expose all the hidden things that need to be exposed. Lord, let Your light shine before men, that we may see the evil works in our nation and reject them—and that we may see Your good works and glorify You.

Luke 8:17 (HCSB)

17 For nothing is concealed that won’t be revealed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known and come to light.

  • We say thank you Lord for all that is currently being uncovered and exposed in this area. You are doing a new thing in our nation, and we rejoice because of it!
  • We unite and agree in prayer today in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus that the Lord will expose and reveal all corruption and dark voices that are influencing our government (at the local, state, and national levels).
  • Lord, give valor to righteous whistleblowers who sound the alarm—and protect those whistleblowers when they do speak out.
  • Pray that those who are spreading corruption mess up and reveal themselves in ways that absolutely reveal the truth.
  • Pray that any crimes they have committed be exposed.
  • Lord, let those who are spreading lies and corruption throughout our government be removed from power, and let righteous ones take their offices.

Pray for our House of Representatives as they prepare to vote for a new Speaker of the House.

  • We are asking that our representatives work together in moving forward for the betterment of our nation.
  • Pray for God’s will to be done and that no one will be able to obstruct the nomination and election of the person God has in store for our Speaker of the House position.

Pray for Revival to come to those serving in our local, state, and federal government.

No greater thing could come to our land today than revival of the spirit of faith—a revival that would sweep through the homes of the nation and stir the hearts of men and women of all faiths to a reassertion of their belief in God and their dedication to His will for themselves and for their world. I doubt if there is any problem–social, political or economic—that would not melt away before the fires of such spiritual revival.         Franklin D Roosevelt

  • Spirit-Filled Life: We pray that every one of our government leaders will be baptized in the power of the Holy Spirit. We decree Luke 3:16, the government officials at all levels will be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire.
  • Acts 2:17 (HCSB) And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
  • Acts 1:8 (HCSB) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
  • Pray against all hopelessness, downheartedness, and feelings of defeat.

Romans 8:24- 26 (HCSB) Now in this hope we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience. 26 In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

Psalms 34:17-19 (HCSB) The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them from all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near the brokenhearted; He saves those crushed in spirit. 19 Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Isaiah 41:10 (HCSB) Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

Matthew 19:26 (HCSB) But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
