The Blueprint of a Man of God | Week 3 | The Family Plan Series

comms   -

BIG IDEA: Men of God are designed to lead.

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and tend it.- Genesis 2:15 NASB2020

1For behold, the Lord God of armies is going to remove from Jerusalem and Judah, Both supply and support, the entire supply of bread And the entire supply of water; The mighty man and the warrior, The judge and the prophet, The diviner and the elder, The captain of fifty and the esteemed person, The counselor and the expert artisan, And the skillful enchanter. And I will make mere boys their leaders…  Isaiah 3:1-4 NASB2020

How to get rid of the inner boy

  • Seek to Serve
  • Chose Forgiveness over bitterness
  • Take responsibility

The Aspiration: Desiring Leadership

1It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. – 1 Timothy 3:1 NASB2020

  • The desire for godly leadership is a noble aspiration, not one to be taken lightly.
  • Aspiring means to stretch out for something.
  • Aspiring for responsibility vs Aspiring for resource …10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it…1 Timothy 6:10 NASB2020
  • We were created to take dominion over the earth. We were not created to dominate other people.

The Blueprints of Man of God (1 Timothy 3:2-7)

  • Not Addicted to Wine: Godly men must avoid addiction.

  • Gentle: A godly man focuses on delivering restraint over retribution.

  • Free from the Love of Money: A godly man is content.

The Testing Ground

  • Management of the home
  • Discipleship of children – He will turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and strike the land with complete destruction.” – Malachi 4:6  NASB 2020
  • Maturity in faith
  • Community Reputation

Every man of God should be:

  • Protector – Steps between his people and what would harm them
  • Priest – Presents his people to God
  • Prophet – Presents God to his people
  • Provider – The second thing God gave man was “work”

22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, (PROTECTOR) 26 so that He might sanctify her (PRIEST), having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word (PROPHET), 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. 28 So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it (PROVIDER), just as Christ also does the church, 30 because we are parts of His body. 31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. –Ephesians 5:22-33  NASB2020

Words of Knowledge

We believe the Lord wants to heal someone who is having pressure in the middle of their back with the muscles and spine, it’s pulling their shoulders down and making it difficult to breathe.

We believe the Lord wants to heal someone suffering with arthritis or some sort of joint pain in their big toe on their right foot.

We believe the Lord wants to heal women who have been suffering with loss of hair and alopecia.

Words of Encouragement:

We believe we heard the Lord saying, “Regardless of your situation or circumstance, declare Shalom, Shalom! Declare Peace and Wholeness – NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING LACKING & NOTHING BROKEN!” He is bringing peace and wholeness to you.
Meditate on Judges 6:23-24 (NLT)
