Days 1 – 4: During these first four days, let’s seek the Lord for direction and guidance for the relationships in our lives. We want to draw closer to you Lord, more than ever before. Reveal your love for us in new ways Father. Search our hearts Lord and renew a right spirit within us, show us if there is any unforgiveness or sin that we need to lay at your feet. Reveal the things that we need to set aside in order to be set apart for you. We want to know you more this year.
  • James 4:8 (HCSB) Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded people!
  • Psalms 63:1(HCSB) God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.
  • Jeremiah 29:12-13 (HCSB) You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Our relationships with others: Holy Spirit, we are asking that you give us clear direction as we assess our relationships with others. We are asking that you bring healing to the ones that need to be restored. We know that you are the God of reconciliation. Help us to maintain and flourish in all the relationships you want us to be in. And Lord, if you are leading us to build any new relationships this year we are asking for your direction and favor. Help us Lord to step away from any unhealthy relationships we may be in, give us courage and strength.

  • 1Peter 4:8 (HCSB) Above all, keep your love for one another at full strength, since love covers a multitude of sins.
  • John 13:34 (HCSB) “I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another.

Days 5-8: During these next four days let’s seek the Lord for direction and guidance for the ministry that we do and the activities that we are involved in, individually and for The Crossing.

Lord, we come to you with all the things that we pour ourselves into day after day. We want all that we do to glorify you in a way that helps bring the kingdom of heaven to earth. If this means we need to step into something new or we need to walk away from something, we are asking for your guidance along the way. Reveal to us how you want to use us in releasing your kingdom here on earth. We want to partner with you this year like never before. Help us to know with clarity what things we should pour our hearts, our energy, and our gifts into. We know there are a lot of good things we can do but we want to be centered on God things this year. We are asking for clarity, focus, and courage as we partner with you.

  • Philippians 2:3-8 (NKJV) 3Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
  • 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NKJV) 10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
  • John 16:13 (HCSB) When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.
  • Psalms 25:4-5 (HCSB) 4 Make Your ways known to me, Lord; teach me Your paths. 5 Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.

Days 9-11: During these next three days let’s seek the Lord for direction and guidance on how we spend our time this year. We want to be good stewards of the time we have. 

As we enter 2024 Lord, help us to manage the time you have given to us wisely. We desire to allocate our time based on your guidance. Help us to work hard when it’s time to work and play hard when it’s time to play. We want to surrender the things that just waste our time and replace them with Holy Spirit-led moments. Show us how to live a more intentional life for you.

  • Ephesians 5: 15-17 (HCSB) 15 Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk-not as unwise people but as wise- 16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil. 17 So don’t be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.
  • Psalms 90:12 (HCSB) 12 Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
  • Matthew 6:33 (HCSB) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

Days 12-14: During these next three days, let’s seek the Lord for direction and guidance on how we spend our talents this year. We want to be good stewards of the talents we have been given.

Lord, we want to be a people who use the giftings and talents you have given us to purposefully help others advance. Show us how to use our gifts to expand your kingdom of heaven here in the Tampa Bay area and around the world. We are asking for supernatural wisdom and insight to come forth from us. Lead us in developing these skills, gifts, and talents to advance your kingdom. We are asking for a new boldness and courage to step out into new things, as you lead. We ask for your favor to rest on us as we follow your lead.

  • 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
  • 1Peter 4:10-11 (HCSB) 10 Based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, [his speech should be] like the oracles of God; if anyone serves, [his service should be] from the strength God provides, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

Days 15-18: During these next four days we will seek the Lord for direction and guidance on how we should spend our money and resources this year. We want to be good stewards of the resources we have been given, individually and for The Crossing.

Father, we want you to be Lord of our resources and finances. As we surrender them to your control, help us to hear you clearly. Teach us how to steward our money better. We are asking for supernatural wisdom and insight in dealing with money and resources. We trust you completely and we resist all fears concerning our finances. We decree that we will be a church with 100% tithing this year. Lord, reveal to us places that we are putting our money and resources in that are not producing fruit for you and show us how to reallocate them into places that are advancing your kingdom here on earth.

  • Matthew 6:19-24 (HCSB) 19″Don’t collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So, if the light within you is darkness-how deep is that darkness! 24 “No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves of God and of money.

Days 19-21: During these next three days let’s seek the Lord for direction and guidance on how we take care of our physical body. We want to be good stewards of the temple we have been given.

As we finish up our fast together Lord, we are asking that you teach us to be better stewards of our bodies. We recognize that you have entrusted these temples to us. We want to be set apart in our habits concerning our physical health this year. We desire to serve you with energy and strong bodies. Help us Lord to walk in self control with our eating, exercising, and sleeping habits. Holy Spirit, we are asking that you lead us into all truth in this area of our life.

  • 1Corinthians 6:19-20 (HCSB) 19 Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body.
  • Romans 12:1-2 (HCSB) 1Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
