As For Me And My House | Week 2 | Faith and Family Series

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 NKJV

1. Intercession: Stand in The Gap

“I searched for a man among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land so that I might not destroy it, but I found no one. So I have poured out My indignation on them and consumed them with the fire of My fury. I have brought their actions down on their own heads.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.”

Ezekiel 22:30-31 HCSB

2. Spiritual warfare

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10:18-20 NKJV

3. Your love draws them to Jesus; your shame and condemnation repels them from Jesus

Love is patient

love is kind

and is not jealous;

love does not brag

and is not arrogant,

does not act unbecomingly;

it does not seek its own

is not provoked

does not take into account a wrong suffered,

does not rejoice in unrighteousness,

but rejoices with the truth;

bears all things,

believes all things,

hopes all things,

endures all things.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NASB1995

4. Prophetic Destiny of Your Family

a. Partner with Gods word over them

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

Acts 16:31 NKJV

“just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”

Ephesians 1:4-5 NKJV

“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10 HCSB

b. Refuse to allow the enemies word over their life too

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Proverbs 18:21 HCSB

Lord I pray the following prayer for (list out those you are praying for)

Lord, I call each person that I have just named into the prophetic destiny that You have ordained for their lives. May they know You intimately  and fulfill the works You established for them before the foundation of the world.

You promised in Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” I come before You now, petitioning for the salvation and divine fulfillment of every member of my family. Let them live out Your purpose for them on this earth.

Father, I ask that You would release the resources of heaven and earth to draw them into salvation and into their divine calling. Let them walk faithfully with You all the days of their lives.

You declared in Ephesians 1:4–5 that You chose them before the foundation of the world, that they should be holy and blameless before You in love. You predestined them for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of Your will. And in Ephesians 2:10, You said they are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared in advance for them to walk in.

Lord, I call each person I have named  into Your perfect will for their lives and into the good works You have ordained for them. Above all, I call them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now, I speak directly to the satanic forces that have a grip on them and command you to release them in the name of Jesus. Let them go!

I proclaim the truth of Luke 10:18–19: “And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.’”

By the authority given to me through Christ, I command every force of darkness holding them back from serving God to be broken. You will no longer draw them away from their walk with the Lord. I declare their spiritual eyes are open to see God’s goodness and love as a Father. I speak revelation into their hearts to grasp the sacrifice Jesus made for them.

Let godly sorrow bring them to true repentance. I bless them now with lives filled with the love, goodness, and blessing of God.

In the powerful name of Jesus—Amen.
