What we mean when we say Family Values
What we mean when we say Family Values

We’re talking about the bread and butter that’s traditionally passed down based on our faith, morals, and principles in our house. We have them to keep us honest, and respectful, and guide how we treat each of our family members and others.

Our Family Values and what the bible says about them:

Being Kingdom Focused with God at the center of this family

God has given us the design for family and how we should lead, treat each other, and how to remain focused on Him through life.

When a house is in order, God blesses it because we are in His will, and of one accord.

(Psalm 112:1-10, Exodus 20:12, Ephesians 5:22-33, Deuteronomy 28:1-6, Proverbs 3:6)

Being a house of prayer

We pray as a family, we pray about all decisions, we pray for each other and the people that we encounter to know the love of Jesus.

Rather than letting worry or the voice of the world be the voice that guides us, we choose to calm our minds and seek God’s voice in all that we do. This way we take hold of His peace and hear His voice in to guide us.

(1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, Philippians 4:6–7, 1 John 5:14–15, Ephesians 6:17–18, Romans 10:1, Isaiah 26:3 )

Loving People and each other

Our God is a God that loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son for us. His love is forgiving, kind, and gracious. He commands us to love one another as ourselves. So, how much more should we love our neighbors and family members?

As a family, we choose to love each other and the people we encounter through this lens. Our actions will be rooted in love, and we will take the time to put our actions and reactions through a standard that holds to these values. (John 3:16, 1Cor 13:4 – 8, Matthew 22:37-39, Ephesians 6:1-3)

This family pursues God's presence

On this journey we call life, God will be what we pursue daily, and to look more like Him in all we do.

As a family and individuals, we will do this through developing a personal relationship with God and seeking to walk in His will.

(1 Chronicles 16:11, Jeremiah 29:13, Romans 12:2, 1 Chronicles 16:11, 1 Chronicles 22.19)
