Are we satisfied? | Week 1 | Blessed Series

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. ~ Matthew 5:6 NASB1995

When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. ~ Matthew 5:1-12 NASB1995

Are we satisfied?!

Throughout the Bible, we find simple truth and profound principle: Obeying The Heavenly Father brings blessings and disobeying brings curse!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love ~ Ephesians 1:3-4 NASB1995

When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, ~ Matthew 5:1-2 NASB1995

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. ~ Matthew 4:1-2 NASB1995

24 The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. ~ Matthew 4:24-25 NASB1995

Are we satisfied?!

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. ~ Matthew 5:6 NASB1995

37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.John 7:37-39 NASB1995

Are we satisfied?!

10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  ~ Matthew 5:10 NASB1995

What if we lived the kind of life that would cause people to challenge us because of our faith?

You see a call to righteousness challenges us to reevaluate our desires to align them to Gods vision.

33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. ~ Matthew 6:33 NASB1995

Are we satisfied?!

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him ~ Ephesians 1:7-9 NASB1995

We are His righteousness!

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. ~ Matthew 5:6 NASB1995
