Bay of The Holy Spirit | Week 2 | Glory on Your House

“I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” declares the Lord Almighty. “The silver is mine and the gold is mine,” declares the Lord Almighty. “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” declares the Lord Almighty. “And in this place, I will grant peace,” declares the Lord Almighty. ~Haggai 2:7–9

How To Cultivate a Spirit-Led Household

  1. The Atmosphere — “Be Filled with the Spirit”

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” ~Ephesians 5:18–21

2. The Foundation — Christ’s Threefold Love

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.  After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body.

~Ephesians 5:25–30

A. Sacrificial Love — “He gave Himself up” (v.25).
The verb paradidōmi means to hand over, to yield. Christ released Himself for His Bride. Spirit-led husbands go first in dying to self—first to repent, first to serve, first to get low in prayer.

B. Sanctifying Love — “Cleansing… with the word” (vv.26–27).
This isn’t Lordship/Love—steady, gentle washing with Scripture and prayer. Read a psalm together; pray two sentences; speak a promise over one another. The husband creates an atmosphere where his wife and children are loved into holiness, not pressured into it.

C. Sustaining Love — “Nourishes and cherishes” (v.29).
Ektréphō (nourish): feed to maturity. Thalpō (cherish): warm, tenderly care. Jesus doesn’t merely forgive; He feeds and warms His Church. A husband tends the temperature of the home—tone, timing, tenderness.

3. The Altar — Hosting His Presence

  • False Altar
    • Self/Self-Absorption (Autonomy as ultimate)
    • Screens/Attention Economy (Algorithm as catechist)
    • Profit/Success Shrine (Consumerism)
    • Passion As Idol (Desire as identity)
    • Politics-as-Savior (Party as ultimate loyalty)
  • Satanic Logic
    • Indulgence over abstinence; ‘sins’ as gratification; man as animal
    • Indulgence, instant gratification, ‘vital existence now’
    • Self-gratification and gain as highest good
    • ‘So-called sins’ lead to gratification; man as animal
    • Vengeance over mercy; hostility as virtue

  • Biblical Altar
    • Surrendered Self (Romans 12:1)
    • The Table & Talk (Deut 6:6–7)
    • First-Fruits Generosity (Matt 6:24)
    • Temple Holiness (1 Cor 6:19–20)
    • Kingdom First (Matt 6:33)
  • Practical Step
    • Daily prayer of surrender; weekly fast from comfort
    • Device-free meals with Scripture, thanks, blessing; weekly attention Sabbath
    • Tithe first; hidden giving weekly; calendar worship before work
    • Confess; accountability; visible rhythms of prayer & check-ins
    • Fast from media; intercede for leaders and enemies by name

4. The Table — Formation/Blessing/Legacy

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. ~Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Table Script 1 – Numbers 6:24–26

The Lord bless you, and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.’ ~Numbers 6:24-26

Why it’s powerful

  • God Himself gave this blessing and promised, “When you speak this, I will bless them” (v.27).
  • Speaking it places God’s care, joy, and peace over the person.

How to speak it
Lay a hand on their shoulder, look them in the eye:

“[Name], the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord shine His face on you and give you peace.”

Identity Touch
“You are safe in God’s care. His eyes are full of affection and love when He looks at you.”

Table Script 2 – Genesis 48:15–16

 He blessed Joseph, and said,

“The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
The God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,
The angel who has redeemed me from all evil,
Bless the lads;
And may my name live on in them,
And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.” ~Genesis 48:15–16

Why it’s powerful

  • Blessings shape identity and future.
  • When spoken, they remind us we belong to a larger story of God’s care.

How to speak it
Hands on head or shoulders:

“[Name], may the God who has always guided and protected us bless you. May He guard you and lead you into His purposes.”

Identity Touch
“You are part of God’s story, and He has a good future planed for you.”

Table Script 3 – Mark 10:16

And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them. ~Mark 10:16

Why it’s powerful

  • Jesus Himself blessed by touch and words.
  • Blessing shows love that is close, not distant.

How to speak it
Hold or embrace:

“[Name], I bless you in Jesus’ name. May you know His love, His nearness, and His joy.”

Identity Touch
“You are deeply loved, and you bring joy to God’s heart and to mine.”

Table Script 4 – Psalm 128:1–4

How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways.
When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands,
You will be happy and it will be well with you.
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine
Within your house,
Your children like olive plants
Around your table.
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears the Lord. ~Psalm 128:1-4

Why it’s powerful

  • Blessing speaks life over the whole household—work, family, home.
  • It frames ordinary life as a garden under God’s care.

How to speak it
At the dinner table:

“May our family walk in the Lord’s ways. May our home be fruitful, our work blessed, and our children flourish like olive trees.”

Identity Touch
“We are a family that grows strong together in God’s love and grace.”

Table Script 5 – 2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. ~2 Corinthians 13:14

Why it’s powerful

  • This blessing covers life with Jesus’ grace, the Father’s love, and the Spirit’s presence.
  • It reminds us we never walk alone.

How to speak it
With uplifted hands:

“May the grace of Jesus, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Spirit rest on you and remain with you.”

Identity Touch
You live surrounded by God’s love. His grace holds you, and His Spirit walks with you every step.

Words of Knowledge

  • We believe the Lord wants to heal someone’s index finger from a deep wound that has caused nerve damage.
  • We believe the Lord wants to heal the bottom of someone’s foot from a wound that’s not healing. We believe the wound is from stepping on a shell or a sharp object.
  • We believe the Lord wants to heal someone that has been having issues with their bones.
  • We believe there are people here today who are feeling dry and stagnant in their relationship with the Lord and He hears your cries. He is bringing rivers of refreshment into your life today. We heard John 7:38 for you: The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”
  • We believe the Lord wants to bring reconciliation in someone’s family today, and we kept hearing the word grandmother.
  • We believe the Lord wants to heal someone from intense tension headaches. These are induced by high stress situations at your workplace. Not only does He want to heal you, but we also believe He wants to partner with you to create solutions to those situations at work. We saw a vision of people in their work offices rubbing their heads after getting news about a “fire” they need to put out at work, and their normal response is rooted in striving to fix it. The Lord is inviting you to partner with Him for heavenly solutions.
  • We believe we heard the Lord saying there are people here today who have been struggling with lustful thoughts and pornography that is rooted in rejection. He wants to heal you and set you free today.
