Wednesday Night Prayer | August 20, 2025 | Fountain Gate

The Fountain Gate represents the baptism of Holy Spirit and subsequent infillings of His power.  The Fountain Gate speaks to us of the living waters of Holy Spirit that cleanse our lives and empower us for our Christian life! It also speaks of times of spiritual renewal and refreshing for us, His children. We are asking the Lord fora fresh baptism from Holy Spirit. This is part of our promised provision.

1st Prayer Point:

This word was released over The Crossing Church on August 1, 2025 by Pastor Wayne Drane. The Crossing Church will be a burden bearing church to other churches. We are a resource church and as we take steps of faith to help others beyond these walls, we will tap into heaven’s grace which flows towards those with generous hearts. We have entered a timely fulfillment of 2 Corinthians 9:11, we will be enriched in every way so that we can be generous on every occasion, and through otherour generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.This isn’t about money alone. It’s about being generous with what God has put in our hands to offer in His service. We are to make it our aim to live out 1 Peter 4:19: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” The Lord calls us burden bearers for the glory of God!

  • We’re asking that as we step into this word that we will become a refreshing river for the Tampa Bay region. Pray that we will be fountains of refreshment to those around us.

Galatians 6:2 (NIV) A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

  • Lord, we thank you for the generosity that flows from this house. As we continue to pour out into others, we’re asking that you refresh us in every way.
  •  We are in agreement with this word Lord. We ask that you reveal to us individually and corporately how we can be burden bearers for this region.
  • Help us to be Spirit led in everything we do.

Acts 1:8 (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

2nd Prayer Point:

Pray that we will go into our neighborhoods, schools, work places, and our communities with a new power and boldness to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.

Acts 1:8 (HCSB) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

  • Pray that we will overflow with hope into our communities by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13(HCSB) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Pray that we will operate in all His spiritual gifts so we can impact our communities with power.

1 Cor 12: 4-10 (HCSB) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

3rd Prayer Point:

Pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit for those who have never received it and for a refilling for everyone who has.

John 7: 37-38 (HCSB) On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and drink! 38 The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”

  • We are praying for everyone at The Crossing who has received Christ as their Savior to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
  • Pray for a fresh infilling of Holy Spirit in us individually and for our family.

Luke 11:9-13  (HCSB) “So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

  • Pray that we will desire to be in His presence more than anything else. Lord, create a new thirst for more of you.
  • Pray Luke 3:16, that we will be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Baptize us Lord with a fire that will consume all our worldly desires and cause us to move in power.

4th Prayer Point:

Pray specifically for the different ministries at The Crossing.

Ephesians 3:16-19 (HCSB) [I pray] that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. [I pray that] you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth [of God’s love], 19 and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

  • Build us in the fear of the Lord, that we will know the power of the Holy Spirit as we grow in grace and mature in the faith.
  • Pray that our leaders at every level will make prayer and intercession a top priority. Help us to be Spirit led as we pray. Help us to saturate every ministry here at The Crossing with prayer.

Romans 8:26-27 (HCSB) In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit’s mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

  • Holy Spirit come and refill every pastor, director, coach, leader, and team member here at The Crossing Church. We want more of You!
