Wednesday Night Prayer | September 17th, 2025 | Family, Education, Government, Media and Religion Mountain

We believe the Lord is pouring out His Spirit all over America. God is calling us into reformation, where every pillar of society is brought back to His original intent. We believe this is a time of great revival and reformation for our nation. We believe the Lord is raising up moreleaders who will usher in a revolution for Jesus that we have not yet seen before. We believe we are experiencing a flashpoint moment in America. (The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines flashpoint as: a point at which someone or something bursts suddenly into action or being. God is using the assassination of one of His ambassadors, Charlie Kirk, as a flashpoint for His army! Tonight we are interceding for our nation and believing that what the enemy meant for evil, God is using it for His good (Genesis 50:20 As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people).

1st Prayer Point: Pray for peace over our region, state, and nation.

We declare that You are the Prince of Peace. We are asking for your peace to rest in our homes, churches, communities, region, state and nation.

John 16:33 (HCSB) I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (HCSB) Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Lord, we are asking that you touch the hearts of those who are struggling with fear right now. Lord, we are asking that you dispatch your angels to war against every spirit of fear. We thank you for your perfect love and for your peace in this hour.
We choose today to not let our hearts be troubled! We will keep our eyes on you and your goodness.

John 14:27 (HCSB) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Lord, we pray for unity in the Church. During this flashpoint moment help us to walk in unity as the Body of Christ.
Help us to put our own preferences, ideas, and agendas aside and focus on Your Truth. Teach us and help us to walk free of offense. Show us how to dismantle fear and division with your love.

2 Timothy 2:15-17 (HCSB) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.  But avoid irreverent, empty speech, for this will produce an even greater measure of godlessness. And their word will spread like gangrene

2 Timothy 2:23-26 (HCSB) But reject foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they breed quarrels. The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient,  instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance to know the truth. Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil’s trap, having been captured by him to do his will.

Lord, we pray for wisdom, discernment, and understanding for our nation’s leaders so they conquer divisiveness and keep our nation from descending into hateful conflict and violence. Lord help our leaders govern with fairness and loving concern for all Americans.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (HCSB) First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

Proverbs 25:5 (HCSB) Remove the wicked from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established in righteousness.

Father, we’re asking for our leaders to have repentant hearts and that they will lead our nation into repentance.

Jonah 3:6-8 (HCSB) When word reached the king of Nineveh, he got up from his throne, took off his royal robe, put on sackcloth, and sat in ashes. Then he issued a decree in Nineveh: By order of the king and his nobles: No man or beast, herd or flock, is to taste anything at all. They must not eat or drink water. Furthermore, both man and beast must be covered with sackcloth, and everyone must call out earnestly to God. Each must turn from his evil ways and from the violence he is doing.

We pray against all false news that is spread to insight more division. Lord, we ask that you silence every lying spirit. Let truth prevail. Let justice reign.

In the name of Jesus, we ask You to raise up voices of truth and integrity in the media industry.

Romans 16:17-18 (HCSB) Now I implore you, brothers, watch out for those who cause dissensions and pitfalls contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them; for such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

We declare that the voice of Truth cannot be silenced!

2nd Prayer Points: Pray that we will be a people who shine bright for Jesus and are being watchful for God moments in every aspect of our life.

Pray for us to have a heart for evangelism, no matter what mountain of influence we occupy. We want to be a light that shines for Jesus in every area of our culture.

Matthew 5:14-16 (HCSB) You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Romans 1:16-17 (HCSB)For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. For in it God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.

We decree Isaiah 61:1, that the Spirit of the Lord God is on us and that He has anointed us to bring good news to the poor. He has sent us to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners because of the work He did on the cross through Jesus. Thank you Jesus for the ministry of reconciliation.

Isaiah 61:1 (HCSB) The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 (HCSB) Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ; certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.

Wake us up Lord! Help us to stay alert.

Colossians 4:2-6 (MSG)  Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude. Don’t forget to pray for us, that God will open doors for telling the mystery of Christ, even while I’m locked up in this jail. Pray that every time I open my mouth, I’ll be able to make Christ plain as day to them. Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.

We are crying out tonight for a greater measure of boldness.

Acts 4:18-21 (HCSB) So they called for them and ordered them not to preach or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it’s right in the sight of God [for us] to listen to you rather than to God, you decide; for we are unable to stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”After threatening them further, they released them. They found no way to punish them, because the people were all giving glory to God over what had been done;

Acts 4:13 (HCSB)When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and knew that they had been with Jesus

3rd Prayer Point: Pray for revival and reformation to come to Tampa Bay

Lord, let it begin with us! Let Your glory come upon us individually and as a church.

Haggai 2:7-9 (HCSB)I will shake all the nations so that the treasures of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord of Hosts.  “The silver and gold belong to Me”-the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.  “The final glory of this house will be greater than the first,” says the Lord of Hosts. “I will provide peace in this place”-the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

We are asking that those who don’t know you in this region come to know you and receive you as their Savior. Holy Spirit, we’re asking that you don’t delay.

2 Peter 3:9 (HCSB) The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

Pray that this community will see the goodness of God through the Church of Tampa Bay and that the lost will be drawn to Him more than ever before.

Matthew 5:16 (MSG) Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand – shine! Keep an open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Isaiah 43:5-8 (HCSB) Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west.  I will say to the north: Give [them] up! and to the south: Do not hold [them] back! Bring My sons from far away, and My daughters from the ends of the earth-  everyone called by My name and created for My glory. I have formed him; indeed, I have made him.” Bring out a people who are blind, yet have eyes, and are deaf, yet have ears.

Isaiah 43: 18-19 (HCSB) “Do not remember the past events, pay no attention to things of old.  Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

Pray that there will be demonstrations of Holy Spirit and power everywhere we share the Gospel.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (HCSB) When I came to you, brothers, announcing the testimony of God to you, I did not come with brilliance of speech or wisdom. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  And I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and power,  so that your faith might not be based on men’s wisdom but on God’s power.

As You send the harvest, we are asking for wisdom and insight on how to disciple them as a church.
Lord, help us at The Crossing and every other church in this region to prepareourselves for your great outpouring. We want to be Spirit led in everything we do. We are asking for strategy on how to care for, how to equip, and how to empower the people you are sending.
We declare that you, Lord, are a wall of fire around Tampa Bay and nothing and no one will stop what you are doing in us and our region!
We are The Bay of the Holy Spirit.

4th Prayer Point: Pray for our schools.

Father, pour out Your Spirit on our sons and our daughters. We ask for a harvest of souls to surrender to You: teachers, administrators, and students.
We pray for revival to fall on every campus in Hillsborough County (every public and private elementary, middle, and high school and every college and university).
Lord, teach students who have a relationship with you to conduct themselves in ways that honor you and everyone they encounter. Give them boldness and courage to share the gospel with their peers.
Pray for daily protection around all of our schools. Lord, dispatch your angels to protect our schools in Hillsborough County, in FL, and in our nation.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (HCSB) Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Psalms 34:7 (HCSB) The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 (HCSB) Finally, pray for us, brothers, that the Lord’s message may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you, 2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen and guard you from the evil one.

Psalms 91:11 (HCSB) For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.

We pray that every one of our students will be baptized in the power of HolySpirit. We decree Luke 3:16, our young people will be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. They will invade the Tampa Bay region with power.

Acts 2:17 (HCSB) And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

Acts 1:8 (HCSB) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Lord, we’re asking that you build bridges between our churches and our schools.
Pray for our local colleges and universities:

Lord, we are praying for the antichrist spirit to be dismantled on these college campuses.

We are asking that every agenda that is contrary to Your Word be dismantled.

Lord let all bitterness, deception, hate, and murder be dismantled from our campuses and replaced with the Spirit of Truth and Revelation, with humility, love, and Your peace.

(Some of our local schools of secondary education: Eckerd College, University of Tampa, University of South Florida, Saint Leo University, Hillsborough Community College, Southeastern University, Florida College, Florida Southern College)

We thank you for the thousands of young adults who are taking a stand for you across this nation, and we cry out for more Lord.
