The Mountain of Economy/Business

This applies to all aspects of our culture that deal with the flow and balance of the production of resources, the distribution of resources, and the consumption of resources. This sphere of society includes every area of the marketplace (sciences, medicine, retail, services, the restaurant industry, trades, etc.).

Matthew 6:31-32 (HCSB) 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We choose to serve Jehovah-Jireh (the Lord my provider) and not mammon. We live under the banner of God’s provision. Mammon wrestles for God’s seat in our lives, causing us to always strive for more.

• We repent for giving into any influence of mammon: greed, lust, and all idolatry.
• Corporately we reject the principality of mammon in our church and in this region.
• We will not give way to fear. No matter what is going on around us, we choose to trust in the Lord God Almighty. Romans 8:28(HCSB) 28 We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. Psalms 37:23-24 (HCSB) 23 A man's steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way. 24 Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord holds his hand.

Jesus said, “the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field” (Matt. 13:45) and “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls” (Matt. 13:45) The reign of heaven is activated on the earth by using the prophetic gift to discover the treasure or pearl that’s hidden in the dirt. We need men and women on this mountain that will operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, especially the gift of prophecy. • Pray that the believers in this sphere of influence will operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
• Pray for believers in the Business Mountain who are feeling discouraged, oppressed, or that they don't have a voice. Pray that God will strengthen them, empower them in their place of influence, and give them strategy and direction. 
• Pray for those who want to start a business or who feel called to any area of this sphere of influence. Ask the Lord to give them courage, boldness, integrity, resources, wisdom, and His favor.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NKJV) Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Pray for the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Plant City Chamber of Commerce. Also, pray for all local government officials who have influence in this sphere. 

• Lord, we lift these men and women up to you and ask that you pour out your presence in their lives. If any of them do not know you, we are asking that they come to know you this year. Send men and women to them that will share the Gospel and lead them to you.
• We ask that you bless these men and women.
• We ask that these leaders work to create a commerce that is honoring of Your Word and will help transform this region for You.
• Lord, let them make decisions concerning our communities’ commerce that will bring Biblical principles to the forefront of everything they do.
• We are asking for Christian men and women to be elevated among these boards and in the leadership of these organizations.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (HCSB) but remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant, He swore to your fathers, as it is today. 

Lord, we acknowledge that it is You that gives us the ability to create wealth! 

• Pray for innovative ideas and creativity for the business world.
• We are asking that You speak to men and women in this sphere of influence through dreams and visions, to transform this mountain.
