The Blessed Life

God wants you to live a life that is truly blessed, but what are the steps to getting there? Based on his best-selling book, Pastor Robert’s series, The Blessed Life, explores how living a generous life changes every area of your life. You’ll learn about the biblical principles of giving, the obstacles that prevent generosity, and how God blesses you and the world around you when you live generously.

Week 1: It’s All About the Heart

  1. What does having a heart of gratitude mean to you?
  2. What are some reasons we struggle with selfishness before we give or grieve after we give?
  3. How can giving reflect the condition of our hearts?
  4. Take a moment and ask God what He may want you to give. This may include your time, talent, an attitude of your heart, or forgiveness. What God puts on your heart, commit this area to Him and ask the Holy Spirit to help you surrender.

Remember…

  • God wants us to deal with our selfish hearts…
  • God wants us to deal with our grieving hearts…
  • God wants us to develop a generous heart…
  • God wants us to develop a grateful heart…

  4. Pastor Robert shared that if God is first in your life, then everything else will come into order. Have you experienced this? If so, share what happened.

Remember…

  • Jesus is God’s tithe for us (Firstfruits)…
  • We must bring God our firstfruits…
  • The tithe must be first…

Week 4: Breaking the Spirit of Mammon

  3. How do you think Jesus felt when Mary poured expensive, fragrant oil on His feet? What can we learn from her example?
  4. How can it be both painful and joyful to give extravagantly?
